Custom website & API
Connect a site or app you built yourself with an API key: send orders, products, customers and chat messages in, and get order updates and chat replies back by webhook.
How to connect
4 steps, done in a few minutes.
- 1
Create an API key
Press New key and copy the key and the secret at once. The secret is shown only this one time.
Integrations → Custom Website - 2
Keep the keys on your server
Put them in environment variables. Never place them in browser JavaScript, where any visitor could read them.
- 3
Add your webhook
Enter your website and webhook address and pick the events you want: order updates and chat replies. Every webhook is signed, so your site can check it really came from ChattyFly.
- 4
Send your data
Follow the setup guide on the page: it has ready examples in cURL, PHP, Node.js and Python with your own key filled in.
Good to know
- Service businesses connect their website for clients and chat. Orders and products are for product businesses.
- If a key leaks, revoke it on the same page and create a new one.
